Undermilk Wood - Development

I really wanted there to be a subtle effect on this poster, i still want the type that forms the body copy to come through so i want to use a simple emboss technique.
So i have chosen a type face that works well, its defined and structured so that it when its embossed it will have clear definition. Because i think the story it so good i dont want to detract too much, but make people want to view it closer therefore purchasing the book.
In order to have clean type, i chosen Didot. This is due to the fact that the serif face works at a large font, it works only really at a large scale as a small font it tends to get lost. That s why that its perfect for the sort of scale im putting it at.

DIDOT - Large, heavy weight that will differ for each poster. Larger quotations and body copy.
