AMBER SPY GLASS
When looking at the sayings, i decided to try and map out concepts that relate to them. All the key quotes have a fairly ephemeral atmosphere around them, therefore i want to bring this through the process and type. I want to use a range of type faces to convey the sayings, using thin and low weight sans serif fonts for the more thoughtful quotes and then the larger quotes a thick sans serif font, so as to convey the depth.
I think that its appropriate to use the type faces to convey a modern feel, as its a modern classic.
I tried out a variety of different techniques and fonts to try and get the balance between the quote, my idea process wise is to use a clear spot varnish that will be applied across the top of the text so as to be seen, but 'ephemeral' enough to only be seen in the right light.
