GREAT EXPECTATIONS
I have been trying out different font choices and effects to apply to the quotes that will overlay the posters in this. I have taken key quotes from each of the sections, beginning middle and end. the concept behing the effect for this, working from the first quote 'Take nothing on its looks; take everything on evidence theres no better rule", the theme is to make the quote visible but barely.
I started by overlaying the type and the working it so that it had a cut out effect to it. Then working through the other quotes i have applied the same effect, but using different stroke and weight i want to highlight key parts, especially the great expectations element.
With regard to the process, i plan to use the laser cutter to raster away the dark parts so that it is etched into the substrate and has a textured effect. That way it can be seen but not too obviously.
