ISTD - Experimenting

I have been laser cutting some of the ISTD work again today. As i have changed my designs, and taking on the issues from the original laser cut session, i have changed the size of the type and changed the way that the layout is. I wanted to try out the different aspects to help highlight the dates such as using engraving as opposed to kiss cutting. The rest of the design was kiss cut, so as to allow the main information to highlighted, and not distract. also the type works a lot better kiss cut then engraved.

When the wood was cut, it was slightly off center as it had no box to work around, which i need to put in in the future. So it meant that the side type was cut on the edge, i have also found that this has blurred a lot and is barely legible due to the fact that when the wood burns and the residue is blown away then the mark is left around the edge. So i may have to re-think this.
