ISTD Development

Taking on everyones advice, i have decided to expand the circle format that i have made, to map out the different categories of disasters that have happened. I worked out that in total the range will cover 12 different posters, with a publication accompanying the Top 10 worst natural disasters.
Using the information that i have already amassed it was fairly simple to break it down into the appropriate categories, and then it was a case of working out the format that worked to display the information.

The breakdown will now work like this:
I will change the weight of the appropriate lines, and then through the process i will engrave the thicker lines so they are set deeper into the wood.

I tried a range of different lines, to try and map out the lines that i have highlighted so that i could add the dates. From the range i tried i decided that the straight lines down give the information structure and definition, which when placed within the 'chaotic' structure of the tree circles helps define the relevant information.

From there i have played around with the format of the dates, and decided that the vertical approach worked better, still using the same text layout as on the larger board, but just chosen the most appropriate information.
At the bottom of the page i will be putting a summary of what the poster is displaying so as to inform the viewer.
