ISTD - Tree vectors

After working through the content and settling on ideas, i wanted to start vetoring up the first concept i had. Which was the idea of the trees being used to map out the time, using different scales of growth. For this i needed some strong images of ginat redwoods. This is so that it is clear what tree is being used, and will help the overall visual aesthetic.

I just outlines the basic structure of the tree, keeping it simple so that it wouldn't over complicate the overal visual at the end. I vectored a range of different redwoods, so that if need be i had a range of trees to work with. I then added tried placing them in a grid.

Although the trees work, and the voerall pattern is appealing i think that when it comes to using them for scaling it might not be as powerful. and by not being able to go to northern america to take pictures of redwoods, i am left with internet images of them which means im restricted in the stages of growth that happens with them.S o just having the large tree shrunk down doesn't really work i dont think.
