With regards to William Halls' work i am more interested in the stock emboss that has been used with the stationary. This technique reflects the content of the designs and the way they are being portrayed. I also like how the gold emboss of the logo stands out against the background of the stock. It's clean and elegant and something that i will strive to achieve in my work.
"“Autumn Winter 2009 Lookbook for Mother of Pearl, a clothing brand which uses technical fabrics – such as those used in sportswear – in a collection of luxury womenswear.
Examples include a non-creasing silk hoodie which rolls into its own pocket for transport, then uncrumples and fastens with magnets. Many of the items have lasercut elements or feature complex pattern cutting.
The design uses a series of embossed and varnished grids to add depth and subtly echo aspects of the technical materials used in the collection.”

A couple of years of absolutely no online activity whatsoever has finally given Mr. William Hall the incentive to do something about his website. As a result you can expect some brand new projects and a new layout/back-end courtesy of Indexhibit. It should be noted that from today, the archive projects will only be up for two weeks (before being severely reduced) so make sure you check out everything or save an image or two for future reference."
