North/South/East/West Packaging
North/South/East/West is a collaborative art and music project from Give Up Art, our good friend and ace photographer Shaun Bloodworth and Bleep.com – the digital arm of Warp Records. It focuses on the music of some of the most exciting electronic producers from four different regions of the world — North and South UK and East and West coast USA.
North/South/East/West is a collaborative art and music project from Give Up Art, our good friend and ace photographer Shaun Bloodworth and Bleep.com – the digital arm of Warp Records. It focuses on the music of some of the most exciting electronic producers from four different regions of the world — North and South UK and East and West coast USA.
Stemming from our work for London-based record label Tempa, club nights at FWD›› radio station Rinse FM, and our 2009 trip to Los Angeles, we developed the project in conjunction with Shaun and Bleep, to produce a photographic and bespoke package that would accompany a musical document of the scenes. The final product is a limited edition, deluxe package available via the Bleep.com website, and becoming the first ever official Bleep release (BLP_001).
500 hand-numbered editions were produced compromising a custom wallet printed in fluorescent and metallic inks on pale green stock, containing A5 portrait prints of the featured artists, plus and a 12 track CD (with 9 exclusive tracks). Plus a further edition, limited to only 100 copies, this time printed onto grey stock. Comprising again of the portrait prints and CD, with the addition of an A2 poster, featuring previously unseen portraits and extra shots from the project.
