Meeting with Fashion Student

Today i had a meeting with the fashion student that had contacted me to help them out with their branding and range of promotion they want doing.

Within the meeting i just wanted to meet Poppy and get a feel of her work and where she wanted to go with the brief. She's a very driven student which is great because it means she puts in the same effort as i try to. One thing that i was supprised about is that she has already created a logo for herself, which is actually very complex but work with what she is trying to achieve. I need to document some of her work, in order to have that research and basis to work from. 

Poppy is in the process of creating a unisex clothing line, that is kind of around autumn and winter collection, but not too specific. She knows that she wants to work with Black and that material is very important to her. This is great because processes and material are important to my practice, and i feel this is going to give me the opportunity to really explore this in a very experimental way. She has given me some fashion designers that she is interested in in order to focus on looking at;

The brand is for a non-specific audience, and she wants the line to creates its own market. the brand itself is called Alias, which incorporates her work and what it stands for. Its all very concept driven, which is great. 

We are still both unsure exactly what she wants from me, whether its a trusted eye to go through her work etc. But we are having a meeting next week once she has had more time to work out what she wants to discuss where we go from here.
